Share an AirTag
Until recently only one person holding the Apple ID the AirTag is registered with could follow it. With a recent update we received the option to add up to 4 other users to see the location of the AirTag.
Add another Apple ID to up to 4 Apple iD’s:
Open the Find My app on your iPhone, then tap Items.
Tap the name of the AirTag or item you want to share, then tap Add Person below Share This AirTag (or Share This Item).
Enter the Apple ID of the person you want to add. To add more people, tap the “+” icon
Tap the name of the person you want to share with, then tap their Apple ID. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each person you want to add.
When you’re finished adding borrowers, tap Share in the top-right corner.
Next the person who you have invited to share your Airtag with has to accept this invitation.
When someone accepts an invitation, the shared AirTag appears in Find My below Items and the recipient is notified that an item is being shared with them. If someone declines the invitation, their name is removed from the list, and you no longer see it.
A list of everyone you invited appears on the item’s main screen, along with the status of their invitations.
