Time Machine
All Macs come with built-in backup software. “Time Machine” is easy to use and all that’s needed is an external hard drive or NAS to store the data. It allows you to roll back in time by the hour - day - week - month or year, assuming there is enough space on the storage device.
We also use software that makes an image of all the data. Using both systems in combination with a cloud-based sync service like iCloud - DropBox - Google Drive or one of the many other cloud backup systems ensures that you will always be able to go back before the data or entire computer got lost.
